“Galactic Eye of the Buddha”

With the deep perception of his three Buddha eyes of wisdom, this tribal alien silver Buddha grasps the essence of all things. While common mortals might hunger for the trivial trinkets of relative happiness, his all-encompassing innate perception enables him to comprehend the ultimate reality—The Mystic Law—that reveals the true path of unshakable absolute happiness. This potential lies dormant in all life until activated and will enable all humankind to develop unyielding endurance and fearlessness in the face of any challenge no matter how daunting. It’s a life-state encompassing the power of majestic winged white stallions gallantly galloping unbridled across the far reaches of the vast universe.

I photographed this rare silver Buddha in Mandalay, Myanmar, in the Shwekyimyint Phaya Pagoda at 3:54pm on June 25, 2010. Years later, I digitally added a few strokes of symbolic tribal body paint during a seizure of artistic whim. I own the blue.
