In one of the great celebrations in honor of the goddess Aphrodite, Pygmalion begged the goddess to bring his beloved statue to life. The goddess, who was willing to attend to him, raised the flame of the sculptor's altar three times higher than that of other altars. Pygmalion did not understand the signal and went home very disappointed.
When Pygmalion returned to his workshop, sad thinking that his work would always be an ivory sculpture, he went over to talk to her, she did not seem cold and distant as marble.
Galatea didn't seem alive, but... oh, she opened her eyes and looked at him sweetly!
Galatea at that precise moment came to life and fell madly in love with her creator, who had treated her with so much affection and given her so much pampering.
