One of the first things I notice when visiting Rattlesnake Lake is the lone tree on the lake. On this cold foggy winter day, it stood out more than usual. The branches reached out into the sky like an extension of nerves into the atmosphere. I secured this composition with that thought.
On this day, looking at the tree made me feel alone as the cold rain hit my face. For one moment, I felt alone, but I understood my place, just like Dendron Solus has his place on Rattlesnake lake.
Complex yet simple, I decided to call this image Dendron Solus. Dendron; A slender projection of a nerve cell that conducts nerve impulses from a synapse to the body of the cell; a dendrite.
