The Disaster of Competition

Weeping Woman by Picasso and soft watch by Dalí. When talking about Spanish art of the 20th century, these two artists appear so different and so close. Dalí and Picasso left a universal mark on the art world, but Dalí was always trying to compete with Picasso in popularity. In this image, the cubist woman suffers when she sees one of Dalí's famous soft clocks covering her face as if it were a fried egg.
