The feeling I seek in my work, "comfortable isolation," is composed around isolating subjects and bringing the amplitude of the energy in the art down while keeping the vibration high.
Finding/creating compositions with a city as the canvas is challenging for me. The energy is wild, and surrounded by so many people and so much distraction; it's difficult to find the feeling of aloneness.
I captured this photograph in 2014 and did not know how to add it to my portfolio for many years. In 2018 I began to explore 'creating' the landscapes I visualize instead of simply capturing them.
