"If You Can Can Can!!" 2021

(Danse Macabre)

“Danse Macabre” (Dance of Death), a medieval allegorical concept of death created to remind us to always remember that no matter who we are, we all have death as our final destination. Similar to Buddhist teaching of The contemplation of death.

The concept probably inspired by the numerous death in the late medieval period as a result of epidemic in the mid-14th century and the devastation of the hundred years’ War (1337–1453) between France and England. (same as now…?)

This art was created to remind us of life gratification. To be humble and grateful, to give an important to the good deeds not materials. And to be mindful of only good deeds remain after death.

As I have lived almost half of my life I’ve come to realize this truth. We have lived and enjoyed our lives by forgetting that life has an ending. COVID has made me realized how close death is to all of us. As a singer, without concerts to perform, I’ve felt it even deeper. I don’t want to thank COVID for this but if there wasn’t COVID, this artwork wouldn’t be created.

What are you waiting for youths? You only live once, Go live your lives! Do a lot of good deeds before you die so there is no regret when death comes.

If life hasn’t ended yet, keep dancing! Music!!!!
