Description

IDWT is a generative piece based on the original hash code for the iconic Doge Meme — the picture of the Shiba Inu that has become one of the most recognizable images of today’s generation. The Doge is the most expensive meme in the world, and represents an important cornerstone of internet history — “the original meme that started it all.”

There is no better example of a global meme in the modern age, the process of a community creating itself through the spreading of its culture, than the Doge meme. The memetic value of the image is so powerful it launched the $90billion market-cap token DogeCoin and has appeared in US congressional campaigns, on NASCAR cars, and all across popular culture.

On September 1st, PleasrDAO took the original Doge NFT — the most iconic meme that introduced the intersection of crypto and mainstream internet culture, and made it available for anyone to own a percentage of as a fractionalized NFT. By fractionalizing it into a $DOG token, anyone can now own a percentage of the Doge NFT, and a piece of this cornerstone of internet history — “the original image that started it all.”

Owning a piece of the NFT through $DOG, also grants access to the coolest community in web3 comprised of NFT experts, DeFi experts, and art aficionados. At the time of writing (September 15, 2021), the Doge NFT now has an implied valuation of $190 million USD and is owned by over 4,800 individual wallets — making it the 10th most expensive art piece in the world, after Da Vinci, de Kooning, Cezanne, Gaugin, Pollock, Gustav Klimt, Mark Rothko, Rembrandt and Picasso.
