Unripe Coast: Adorned Wilderness

2024 June #011. The villagers had long spoken of the night when the sky would bleed green, a rare celestial dance of lights that elders likened to the breath of the gods. Most nights passed like any other—blanketed by darkness, with the stars peeking through like shy children behind curtains. But this evening was unlike the rest, heralded by whispers of the ocean and a mysterious tranquility that settled upon the wild coast.

As darkness fell, those who dared approached the shoreline, their figures barely discernible against the shifting sands. They stood in transient clusters, united by the wonder of a shared, silent vigil. Their eyes, wide and reflecting an emerald luminescence, followed the undulating curtains that began to unfurl in the heavens above.

These were not mere onlookers but guardians of an ancient lore, a prophecy whispered from one generation to the next—of a night when time itself would seem to pause and the future would be revealed to those who listened to the earth’s murmurs. The green light cascaded, bathing the untamed wilderness in an ethereal glow, illuminating the faces of those gathered with a ghostly radiance.

They knew, with a certainty rooted deep within their bones, that this night would weave into their history, an indelible moment when the past nodded to the future, and the heartbeat of the earth echoed through the corridors of time.
