About Seerlight
Seerlight is an illustrator and animator based in Los Angeles. His scenes borrow the look of Japanese anime: rooftops, ramen stalls, inns, bathhouses and crowded city streets under deep blue and purple skies, where witches, ninjas and heroes go about ordinary days. Many of his pieces move, with drifting clouds, falling rain and small looping details. Several belong to his ninja villages series, which began with the illustration Ramen Village.
He began minting NFTs on Foundation in March 2021 with the animated M1-K0. That year he also made Kirisame with Jon Kyoto, and the animated short Midnight Diner with Oksami, who wrote its soundtrack. On SuperRare he released one-of-one works such as Neon Village, Hunter Inn and Sleeping Quarters, and in January 2022 he began minting on a SuperRare contract of his own with High-Rise. In July 2024 Neon Village drew press coverage when a wallet linked to the bankrupt fund Three Arrows Capital bought it through an offer left open since 2021.
In 2023 he made two NFTs for Digital Renaissance, a project of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna released with the marketplace Tokapi: Mirage, inspired by the museum's building, and Hunters in the Snow, after Pieter Bruegel the Elder's 1565 painting in its collection. The museum holds both, received as a gift in 2023. He also sells prints and is developing Mana Light, a garden game listed on Steam.
