Alpha Centauri Kid

Alpha Centauri Kid, also known as a.c.k. or ACK, is a digital artist and musician based in San Antonio, Texas. He moves between glitch animation, 3D renders and layered still images. Pianos, skulls and flowers keep turning up in the work. He traces every piece back to what he calls the Muse. In his words, "I just do whatever the Muse decides."

He has painted and composed music since his teens. He came across NFTs in March 2021. That July he released Last Orders!, an edition made with XCOPY. In October his SuperRare debut, ctrl + alt + generate, went to the collector Punk6529 and set a genesis sale record for the platform. By late 2021 art had become his full-time work, ending fourteen years in a government job.

The Great Color Study (2022) grew out of an open edition in which he used MAX PAIN, a CC0 work by XCOPY. The same year, The Muse, a silkscreen in four parts, sold at Christie's in New York. The Broken Keys (2023) collects 48 one-of-one works, each built around the piano. With Avant Arte he brought digital works into print, first the lenticular Warothy (2023), then Piano Blossoms (2024), shown at his first solo exhibition, in Amsterdam.

In September 2025 he showed the Grand Skull Piano, a Steinway grand topped with a hand-built skull lid, at an invite-only event at Carnegie Hall, where the pianist Olga Kern performed on it. In 2026 he released Argonauts, about 10,000 works stored fully on Ethereum, and Original Sin, a single 363 MB image written entirely onchain. That year he also unveiled Bösendorfer, a commission for Adam Weitsman.
