Kurant's practice probes the porous boundary between economic systems, collective intelligence and aesthetic value — investigating phantom companies, fictional currencies, crowdsourced labour and the unseen exploitation that underwrites contemporary capital. Recent series include A.A.I. (2018, living sculptures co-authored with termite colonies), Conversions (2020, abstract paintings driven in real time by social media sentiment), and Sentimentite (2022) — a 100-edition NFT series on Zien that materialises one hundred 'seismic' historical events as physical sculptures cast from her fictional mineral, with 3D forms shaped by AI sentiment analysis of millions of online posts. Sentimentite was acquired by the Centre Pompidou in its landmark 2023 NFT acquisition and by the Hartwig Art Foundation. She is represented by Tanya Bonakdar Gallery in New York.
