## Description

“Elles accouchent à cheval sur une tombe, le jour brille un instant puis c'est la nuit à nouveau // (Our mothers) give birth astride a grave, the light shines for a moment, then it’s night once more.”

–Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot

This is a vision received in the mycelial realm. This experience called Sarah is but a blink. A window of opportunity to take magnificent shapes while in freefall from womb to tomb.

Each VideoPainting is a blink within the blink – a single chance to leave a mark. Once the switch is flipped, all that remains is what got left on tape. I make the most of it… while I can!

A Signature VideoPainting by Sarah Zucker / @thesarahshow. Created in studio in December 2022 with 1991 Sony Video Painter, original animation and analog processing on VHS. Digitally transferred in 1080p.

vidpaint token #1. Single Edition, 2022.
