we inhaled lightly breaded applause
to appease eroding sinuses
and nameless holes
because there was no high
anymore
but rather the flaccid climax of a machine
and the suffocating drip of transaction
and the perpetual dissolve of something we once loved
some days we waited
for a listless celebration amongst nameless fiends
belching chum into polluted waters
and all we wanted
was to be mutilated by the propeller
of a luxury yacht
or to be the chum
exploding from home depot buckets
blanketing an ocean without any
fish left
