## Description

An Observation made within Sam Spratt's "IX. The Monument Game" - And why, We ask, is there this tether of smoke burning forever into the sky?  Why this unending stream of ox-flesh that fuels the furnace?

Such a fine waste? To what end?

Answer:

To billow threads of smoke that waft ever-upward with one aim — to bait, intoxicate & snare the gods from their homes in the deep oceanic night, where they would swim like whales, free among the stars.

Then to reel them down from the heavens. To be worshipped, to be adored & to be whored.

Caged in shrine and statue.
