## Description

I love working in black and white. I often call my black and white drawings and illustrations my zen meditation, as is is a calming break from working with colour. I love the star contrast of dark and light and creating a moment in time with only black on the page inspires me.

This piece was inspired by Virginia Woolf's birthday, which was the day I created it. I have always adored her stream of consciousness writing and that flow and form of her narrative informed this piece.
