## Description

When the cherry blossom is in full blossom, they resemble a white or pink cloud. This sight makes it appear that the flower in full bloom causes cloudiness. Japanese people are sensitive toward the natural phenomena and seasons, they always try to make literal or poetical expressions of such flower, and the word "Hana-gumori" is a typical example of this feeling.
Hana-mi has existed in Japan since the 9th century as one of the main events of entertainment in the garden of the Imperial Palace since then. Cherry blossom viewing has become popular among the Imperial family, the noble and samurai classes.
In the Edo Period (1603 - 1868), Hana-mi developed as an entertainment for the common people. Many beautiful places were established all over Japan.
