## Description

King Thingol's loremaster and minstrel, Daeron, holds a concert for his friends at the court of Menegroth
I've been meaning to paint this, or something like it, that showed the grandeur and opulence of the elven kingdom of Doriath. It was not described in much detail, in The Silmarillion. But there is more than enough mood, to point the way, for me.
I paint these scenes, as a way of escaping from my own wall to wall, mundane, modern surroundings, and as a homage to professor Tolkien, who broadened my horizons, in ways that amaze and delight me, daily.
