## Description

"We are a sad people, without hats.
The history of our nation is tragically benign.
We like to watch the rabbits screwing in the graveyard.
We are fond of the little bunny with the bent ear
who stands alone in the moonlight
reading what little text there is on the graves. ..."
--excerpt from The Bunny Gives Us a Lesson in Eternity by Mary Ruefle

...

As I get older I realize there have been poets in my life that I thought were speaking for me by me with me in me. Every time I read some, my admiration for Mary Ruefle is growing.

...

This photograph from the Dance series is a post-photo shoot composition about hope and the futile nature of it. Could there be a crack in the darkness for some light to pour in? Or do we make peace with..

With what we tend to avoid..
