## Description

I had the title of this piece before I started working on it. All I had visualised was the orb somehow floating around some kind of totem in the center. When I finished it, the Dancing Man festival came to my mind, and I wanted to change the title... "Dancing Woman" and "HypnoTotem" were potential candidates.

But then I read more about totems and was thrilled to discover that in their essence, all a totem was, was an object, usually carved, of an animal or other symbol, representing a tribe or family and their ancestry. Their origins.

As mentioned with "Ovum", I have a great fascination with origins of all kinds, so I've decided to keep the simple purity of "Totem" as the title. What did you think of when you first saw it?
