## Description

On a private trip to Botswana, we had spent the entire day searching for these elusive big cats. The sun was setting, and we started heading back to camp, having not found any. Only a couple of miles to go and we came across this beautiful animal in the top of a dead tree. It spotted something of interest and decided to descend the tree as we arrived. I was fortunate enough to get this shot, just before it leapt out of sight.
Leopard (Panthera pardus)
Classified as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
