## Description

The Metaverse is a collective virtual shared space, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and physically persistent virtual space, including the sum of all virtual worlds, augmented reality, and the Internet.

This is what happened when I was sucked into crypto art. The light being is me, running into the screen of my laptop and disappearing into the metaverse and never returning to physical reality. Think of it like Platform 9 3/4 from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone mixed with the Delorean time machine from Back to the Future.

This is the 3rd technology-based animation I've made, the other 2 being an IBM computer and the Apple II. They are all hand drawn and frame-by-frame, but this one took a lot more effort for coming up with the concept. I wanted this one to really revitalize the meaning behind what the computer animations mean. In the other 2 animations the light being was running out of the computer, signifying a sort of liberation from the technology we use, something reminiscent of transcendentalism. In this one, he is running into the computer and disappearing into the metaverse to signify that technology is our friend and not the enemy. In the metaverse, even in times of isolation and loneliness, we can at least hope to experience reality in a different way as one unified being.
