## Description

"Fear is the obtstacle between yourself and your freedom" - a portrait from my recent series of works about strong emotions and facial expressions.

The close-up composition and the unusual cropping and perspective of this portrait create an oppressive effect.

The color palette used in this work, with predominantly deep black, white and only a few color accents, reinforces the strongly paralyzing feeling of fear.

To circumvent the limitations that digital pixel based artworks have, I’ve created this portrait as a (infinitely) scalable vector graphic. This means it can be scaled without losing its razor sharp definition.

The edition on sale here has a size of 12000 x 16235 pixels, which is ample to print in high quality - 300 dpi - on 40”x 54”(100 x 135 cm). The file is in JPG-format.

This portrait was created first as a painting in acryl on canvas, then digitized and converted into vector graphics. The vector graphics have been intensively processed to achieve the final result.
