## Description

The Ṣẹ̀kẹ̀rẹ̀ /Shekere, is an African percussion shaker made from specially selected light-weight gourds. A net strung with beads is wrapped around the gourd and firmly secured.

Shaking the gourd produces a lively sound commonly used to accompany songs and chants.
