## Description

Artists follow trends. It’s fun and allows for art communities to thrive. For instance, pop culture often establishes trends that inspire artists to create works of art. It could be a new game, character, film, or a viral meme. A plethora of (fan) artworks will fill one's timeline. The problem arises when artists jumping into the bandwagon just do it to chase the trend, like a contemporary "art for art’s sake", that can even cause a burnout. Creatives race to upload their best piece, or be the earliest to participate, and I am guilty of it as an artist. In my experience, the love for what I do fades if my overall intent in following trends is simply to keep up. Guard your passion. You don't have to do what everyone else is doing.
