## Description

Ama Dablam is one of the high peaks in the Everest Region, boasting 22,397 ft. I was on the way to the Mt. Everest base camp, and I was struck with this sense of duty to keep going, despite the frost bite, altitude sickness, and all the other physical signals which shouted at me to turn back down. It was probably the most physically challenging thing I have ever done, and the seriousness of it somehow made me feel validated. It was a lonely journey sometimes. setting up a camera and just wait and watch for hours. 
I may have made it sound like the journey was miserable. It was not. This kind of solitude is what I need at times, and it is what inspires me. Ama Dablam is one of the high peaks in the Everest region, and it was my favorite subject to shoot.
