## Description

An personal interpretation and tribute to the contemporary gothic aesthetic: dark academia. The rise of magic and adventure movies in 2000s-2010s allowed for the familiar gothic style to evolve. The essence of "gothic" features mystery, fear, thrill, death, the shadows not only in visual art but also in literature, music, fashion, and architecture. In my opinion, dark academia is the glamourized, less endarkened version of gothic. I would also argue that it has a mix of steampunk and rococo. Nonetheless, it's a magical genre that I love and I'd love to explore more of it.
