## Description

I first became aware of Hopi Kachinas while attending university in northern Arizona. The kachina concept has three different aspects: the supernatural being, the kachina dancers, and kachina dolls. I was lucky enough to collect a few authentic kachina dolls made by contemporary artists, as well as to attend a mystical "Going Home" ceremony on a cold, clear morning at sunrise. Magical.
