## Description

One of the first collage artworks using my "stained glass" technique to cut and paste pieces of prints with gradient colors. Now after 15 years i digitized and animated the original.  Red is the main color and a well suited one for an artwork with a bloody story behind.
My inspiration was the classic painting "Judith Beheading Holofernes" by Caravaggio which visualizes Judith, a Jewish princess, killing after seducing Holofernes, an Assyrian general, in order to save her people . Was Judith a murderer or a hero? I guess she was a hero for her people and one can say that the death of one person justifies the saving of thousands, but still it was a murder. My ambiguous opinion on this subject gave birth to the title of the artwork.
