## Description

Yakshi are sacred beings belonging to the Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain religions. They represent the life divine force of all living things through vegetation and plant life. It is said that a yakshi can cause a tree to produce fruit by simply touching it with her foot.
One of my favorite books, The Book of Symbols by Taschen, is an incredible resource for inspiration and ideas for creations. I read up on the Yakshi and imagined how I could create her standing among leaves, changing flowers into fruit.
