## Description

1/1 SINGLE EDITION ARTWORK - I have a fondness for pieces of my past; for material items no longer present. The compact cassette tape is one of those items. It reminds me of my youth and provides me a chance to reminisce about simpler times. This particular piece came together with the desire to remix previous concepts. I've been exploring the layers and motion of retro tech (cassette tapes among other items - danky.art) in both animated and still imagery for close to a year now. "THE REMIX" is my first animated cassette in several months, and the first of 2020. I named it such because it's a mixed media piece with a completely new take on mixtape cover art. It was designed void of color to give it a more gritty, street vibe, and also to reflect my mood during the creation process. Within the piece you'll notice a functioning QR Code, my selfie, the once new but now inseparable "Parental Advisory" warning label, and more.
