## Description

'I Want To Break Free' is an inspirational song with a very unique structure, such as the fact there is no chorus. It is one of Queen's most famous songs and still manages to inspire people around the world today. Breakfree is to escape from a person, place, or situation that is trying to hold you. Freddie Mercury cavorted athletically with members of the band Brian May, John Deacon, and Roger Taylor with an everyday scene.

'I Want to Break Free' was released as a single on 2 April 1984. It was another hit for Queen - making it to number 3 in the UK charts. But despite being a favorite among fans and the general public, the song - and its accompanying video attracted controversy in various parts of the world.

People all over the world laughed and got the joke and sort of understood it. When 'I Want to Break Free' was performed live, the singer wore a wig and false breasts in the video's callback. However, when he pulled off this costume change in Rio, a crowd of 350,000 people "started throwing stones, beer cans and other missiles" at the legend. The song and video went down as one of Queen's biggest hits and reflected Mercury's unapologetic play on gender norms and sexuality.

The legend "Freddie Mercury" died in 1991 (aged 45) owing to bronchopneumonia as a complication of AIDS. However, he is still alive with his songs and the band members are still active.
