## Description

I was inspired by a true WWII story of a U.S. PT-Boat hit by a Japanese Destroyer shell, causing water to leak into the lower level. The crew of 6 knew they had no chance, when the water began to  flow up to the deck. The motor conked out. With the luck of seeing an island not far, hey had no choice but jump into chest deep water & head to shore taking what they could. Once on shore, drenched they began to plan for the worst. It was 10 days later when they saw a plane heading by. The  boat Captain quickly took action setting  a rickety wood chair on fire to get attention. It worked, as the U.S. plane circled several times around them to show they were spotted. Later that day another PT-Boat came to rescue the haggard crew. Looking back the blazing chair was just smoke, but the fast thinking Commander saved their lives.
