## Description

Title: Backbone of the Sahara

Description: 21 hours riding the World's Longest Iron Ore Train crossing the Sahara Desert of Mauritania is maybe one of the most adventurous things I have ever done. A single 704 km (437 mi) railway line linking the iron mining center of Zouérat with the port of Nouadhibou.
Spending almost a full day on it was not only thrilling but also very relaxing, as weird as could sound. A form of meditation. Temperatures drop from 30-40 °C day time to 0-5 °C at night. We slept in warm-ish sleeping bags on our open air wagon. It is called the "Backbone of the Sahara" not only for its visual similarity but also for the importance for many merchants and people who need a direct lift to the Atlantic coast.

This piece was featured on Al Jazeera Doc in the first days I entered the NFTs world going one more time viral all over the internet. Prior to this, it has been featured on many other travel channels around the web.
