## Description

St Jean was known for 'speaking in tongues'- a quaint behavior linked with both early Christian beliefs and contemporary Woke Speak. The unintelligible utterances were claimed to be the voice of God and were regarded by his followers as miraculous. It all sounded like gibberish; quite likely because it was all gibberish, Nevertheless disciples of the faith were required to keep up to date with the latest twists and turns of the evolving language so as not to fall out of favour with St Jean.
