## Description

Alexandra Suspension Bridge was originally built in the 1904 by Charles St John David and was said to be the best of its kind in the commonwealth.  

The bridge was later destroyed by floods in 1929 and has undergone two major reconstructions, one in 1934 and the latest one in 2003. 

This suspension bridge spans 91.44 meters across the Cataract Gorge in Launceston, the bridge is a timely reminder of an era long forgotten.
