## Description

Torture in those times had names as "Anguish Pear, Saw Torture, Breaking Wheel, Head Crusher, Nail Chair & Rat torture. 

They're some of the worst retributions using insidious punishment devices. Brutality, in Middle Ages was extensive as wars & plague raged on. 
Prisoners often had no trial, thus a quick or slow death was chosen. A captive was tied down, limbs strapped on a wood cart or in a metal rack. Some tortures caused an anguishing slow death, lasting days. Torture was amusement; the public often could watch one suffer. A torturer would break the offender's ribs to extremities, then he'd be stuck between metal, while limbs were stretched, dislocating them in skin ripping agony. Others had hot sulfur dripped on a captive, then molten lead was poured in his wounds. 
Torture still exists over the world, using new types of devices.
