## Description

This drawing is an allegory of the currently threatened Ukrainian culture, embodied by its people. Inspired by Berehynia watching over Kyiv, this Mother fiercely protects what is most important: hope for the future.

Helena is a multidisciplinary visual and performing artist from Colombia, currently based in New York City. She studies the language and symbols of storytelling, and how it shapes the characters in our dreams and nightmares.
