## Description

For the original artwork, I used a heavy, coarse, natural-colored Saa paper from Chiang Mai. The paper pushes back against any fluid brush strokes, picking up the ink unevenly and forcing me to let the brush rest on the paper longer. 

Surge is like a frozen waterfall. It’s locked in this energetic form, splitting and cracking as the curves and folds push up and out.
