## Description

we had teeth and they had to feed
and sometimes in the transaction
teeth shattered like last season’s christmas lights
fingers were mistaken for food
or not mistaken
consumed as a joyous deviation

the sight of the bag
always made our jaws move
and the sight of the teeth
gave their hands life

the exchange was the exchange
something to pass the time
while another blade was sharpened
